​For ANY DANCE CLASS:​

Always bring:

• A water bottle

• A positive attitude

​

Do not bring:

• Jewelry (rings, dangle earrings, bracelets, etc.). Small button earrings and watches are allowed

• A bad attitude (parents if your child is having a hard day, a missed class is better than a forced one for both your child, their classmates and the instructor!)

Attire for FOLKLORICO is:

• BLACK Folklorico DFW T-shirt or black non-logo T-shirt or leotard

• Any color athletic bottoms such as shorts or leggings

• Tennis shoes AND folklorico shoes (boots men) - CLICK HERE to understand what a folklorico shoe is and where to get it.

• DOBLE Vuelo Practice Skirt (CLICK HERE to see what a doble vuelo practice skirt is)

  • RED skirt for children academy dancers (ages 3-11)

  • Skirt color of your choice company & adult dancers 

All female dancers must have their hair pulled up and off the shoulders either in a bun or pony tail. Pony tails must be braided. French braids are also allowed but must also be braided to the back and away from the face and shoulders. A neat bun will make your instructor the happiest!

Attire for CLASSICAL BALLET is:​

~Dancers ages 5-11:

• Leotard, any color of your choice

• Ballet skirt optional

• Pink Tights

• Pink Ballet Shoes

• Hair must be in a neat bun or your child will NOT be allowed to participate in class (no exceptions)

~Dancers ages 12+

• BLACK Leotard or black form fitting attire of your choice

• If you wear a leotard, are required pink tights. Ballet skirt is optional.

• Pink Ballet Shoes

2024-25 Tuition is $250 per semester (paid at $50/month for 5 months). Tuition remains the same whether there is 2 weeks or 5 weeks in the month as the price is per semester (not month). If you attend any class in the month, you are responsible to pay the full month tuition.

~Other Fees Include: 

$50 Registration Fee:

• Charged once a year at fall registration and includes 2 shirts which are part of the dancers practice attire

Costume Fee:

• $25 charged once at semester the time of registration (fall, winter & summer). Students who dance Fall AND Winter semesters do not have to pay a costume fee in the summer

Recital Fee:

• $50 Due in the Spring

~Price varies per dancer age/size and include but is not limited to:

• Shoes

• Earrings

• Bun Covers

• Bloomers

• Hairpieces

• Leotards

Dancers receive a 10% discount tuition on the second or more sibling, and second or more class. (Must ask for discount prior to registration).

We have many community outreaches year round with the majority of them in September, December and May. When academy students are "performance ready" they are invited to participate. All students participate in our group recital. For the 2024-25 season, the group recital will be held Saturday April 26, 2025 at 5pm at the Grapevine Palace Arts Center. Our mandatory group picture and dress rehearsal will be held the evening before, April 25th at 6pm.​ Please mark your calendars and plan all family events around this recital as it is our group's largest event and our entire school year is focused on preparing for this event.

Yes! We will continue to practice our dances that we have previously learned (so we don't forget them) but every semester includes new dances and routines for all our classes.

Our academy accepts students of ALL levels and ages from 3 through 103... and believe it or not, it's never too late to learn! New and intermediate students take courses under our academy and are generally placed in their class by age (not level). Students who have a passion for folklorico, can audition for our company teams where dancers are placed by dance level.
